This was the scene in Windsor St, Uxbridge last week, you can probably make out a small pile of concrete rendering which fell off the old Post Office building. Luckily no one was walking past at the time. However, it then resulted in a man running up the road shouting ‘its falling down, it’s falling down…’ the fire brigade turned up, along with police who closed the road. The road remained closed for a week.
Scaffolding is now up ready for repairs to be carried out.
The real reason for this newsletter is to let you know the latest UxbridgeFM podcast is out!
This month, we chat to the Hillingdon Artists who are currently based in the Pavillions, but they are quite nomadic, so maybe somewhere else soon.
There’s also a chat with regular Hardip Singh from Harmondsworth Horticultural Association and news on a charity firewalk.
Comedy is coming at the Crown and Treaty
There’s news on the local choirs and orchestras, who all seemed to have chosen the same day to have a concert, and if you’re quick, there’s still time to apply for a street party during the King’s Coronation in May.
As usual, do let us know if you have an event coming up, and we’ll promote it on a future podcast.
